Union Park TH
The residence occupies the bottom three floors of a historic South End townhouse: the top floor is the ‘piano nobile’ parlor level, with its ornate detailing carefully restored. The architecture gets progressively more modern as you move downward, ending in a sleek high-gloss kitchen on the basement level, which was excavated to raise the ceiling height. The vibrant interiors are evidence of a truly collaborative process between client and design team. The client’s extensive art collection inspired the combination of bold colors, playful patterns and graphic text, and the silhouettes of furniture and lighting were kept simple to showcase the ornate historic details.
“My experience with [Hacin's] design team was one of genuine collaboration. The finished space is beautiful and expressive of my personality and interests—a reflection of a truly successful design project.”
