Arnold | Havas HQ
Hacin collaborated with Sasaki Associates on the redesign of the historic Burnham Building in Boston’s Downtown Crossing into a new headquarters for Arnold Worldwide/Havas, a creative and advertising agency. The conversion of the 5th through 8th floors included a lobby, individual offices, collaboration spaces, an employee bar, cafe, and production space for photography, video shoots, sound studios, and editing rooms. Four new stairs and a mezzanine area were designed to connect employees with each other. The main stair that connects the 7th and 8th floors acts as a focal point of the space, allowing access to collaborative spaces from individual work areas. A number of materials from the historic building, such as antique windows and wood flooring, were salvaged and repurposed in the new space.
