Joshua Lentz, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Associate | Architect
Since joining Hacin in 2013, Joshua has worked on a range of projects with a focus on sustainable architecture, including single-family residential and commercial mixed-use developments. He’s passionate about blending high-performance architecture and design excellence to deliver exceptional client service. His recent work includes homes on Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard, designed for longevity and harmony with their environments. Joshua loves building strong relationships with clients and contractors, as well as diving deep into the details of design and construction.
A registered architect, AIA member, and LEED AP BD+C professional, Joshua is well-versed in Boston’s public approvals process. Prior to being part of Hacin, he gained experience at Horizontal Systems, a pioneer in cloud-based BIM collaboration (now Autodesk BIM360 Glue). He earned a Master of Architecture from Roger Williams University, where he studied abroad in Italy, Spain, and The Netherlands. His thesis research, supported by a Salmanson Travel Grant in Israel, explored themes of urban design and context-driven architecture.
Joshua is a frequent guest critic at local universities and has taught graduate architectural design studios as part of Hacin’s Teaching Firm in Residence at Roger Williams University. He also leads Hacin’s H+Green Committee, which discusses sustainable architecture strategies within the studio. When he’s not in the office, you’ll find him spending time with his wife, traveling, and watching and playing basketball.
