Meet our Spring Intern, Luke
The newest intern to join Hacin is Luke Viscusi, a fourth year student at the Northeastern University School of Architecture, majoring in Architecture with a minor in Urban Landscape Studies. During his studies at Northeastern, he spent two semesters studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland and Berlin, Germany. His time in Berlin, as well as the urbanism-focused curriculum at NU sparked his interest in urban housing. The considerable effect that a small site can have on the surrounding urban landscape is of particular interest to him, and he hopes to learn more about the complexities of that process while at Hacin. Beyond the office, Luke is the current AIAS Vice President at Northeastern, and he has become increasingly more involved in expanding the role of AIAS in developing the studio culture at NU. He is focused on collaborating with his AIAS colleagues at the Boston Architectural College, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and Wentworth Institute of Technology, to provide Boston architecture students with more networking, professional, and leisure opportunities. Along with a few fellow students at Northeastern, he has also played a large part in laying the groundwork for a multi-phase park revitalization project at Egleston Square Peace Garden in Jamaica Plain. Beyond student life, his time ultimately consists of balancing his two loves: architecture and ice hockey. There is nothing more enjoyable to him than getting to explore new cities by day, and attending a local hockey game by night.
