The See How They Run exhibit at the Bridge Gallery in Cambridge feels extremely relevant to today even though it features politicians from a range of years, all captured by photographer Mark Ostow, also from Cambridge. He shoots unexpected moments from the campaign trail and his use of light and shadow is quite dramatic. Check it out before the show ends October 19th.

Salamanca, Spain is located two and a half hours northwest of Madrid and about an hour and a half from Portugal. The city is, in my opinion, one of the most spectacular places in Spain. It’s home to the third oldest university in Europe, adding to its rich cultural heritage, and the breathtaking Plaza Mayor provides a fun gathering place for all generations- offering delicious food and wine while taking in the architecture of the square.

Michette in Somerville could easily be one of the best pastry shops in Boston, at least on my map. The menu boasts a spectrum of offerings from various croissants to fougasse to Basque cheesecake. Grab whatever speaks to you and savor it on the bench right outside immediately – each bite is truly magical.

Ripley is a neo-noir thriller series about a mysterious man who is sent to Italy to find an old friend and bring him home to America. The setting is beautiful and highlighted by amazing cinematography, with a tense but exciting vibe. Recommended for anyone who likes crime shows, artsy photography, and Italian coastlines.

On the way to my honeymoon, I started listening to a podcast called Tooth and Claw. It chronicles various animal attacks on humans, and is both informative and very funny! Two of the hosts are zoologists, and one is the younger brother who acts as the audience stand-in and adds super funny banter to keep the subject matter approachable.
