David Hacin to Lecture at Wentworth Institute of Technology
On Monday, November 21st, David Hacin will be presenting a lecture at Wentworth Institute of Technology as part of their Annex Lecture Series, for the College of Architecture and Construction Management. The current theme for the lecture series is “Curious” and the lecture is entitled ” The Time Machine: History as a Tool of Invention”. The event is open to all students and faculty.
“Boston is a place that makes you think about its history. How can we draw upon the history and phenomenology of a place to bring inspiration to our placemaking and design work? David Hacin reflects upon this idea through three project typologies, and how curiosity about each site’s history shaped the design process. From residential to hospitality design, looking backward can actually be a catalyst to innovate and move a design concept forward.”
Wentworth Institute of Technology is a technology university based in Boston with five schools focused on Engineering, Computing, Design, and Management. Over the course of our firm’s history, Hacin + Associates has hosted interns from the school as well as hired alumni from their design programs, and are happy to be able to collaborate with this local school.
