A 2016 Mission Hill Photography Tour
The Tremont, a multi-family project by Hacin, was completed in 2016 and is located at 1478-1484 Tremont Street. The 66-unit project, with three stories of apartments over ground-floor retail and covered parking, is broken down into two building volumes which define a central courtyard to provide common outdoor space for residents.
In addition to serving as architect for the project, Hacin took on another role outside of the scope of our normal services: team members David Tabenken and Emily Neumann captured photography of the surrounding neighborhood in order to provide frameable art for the long corridors in the building.
David and Emily spent a weekend walking around the Mission Hill neighborhood, capturing details of the surrounding architecture- from storefronts to stained glass and all sorts of building elements in between. The intent of the photography project was to capture moments from the environment around the housing development, providing a point of interest in hallways and connecting the interiors to the context around it. Both Emily and David pursue artistic hobbies outside of their roles at Hacin, as Emily is a former professional photographer and David is an accomplished painter- between the two of their considerable pools of talent, we think the final images are beautiful!
