The Lantern Room

The Lantern Room is the primary sit-down restaurant concept at the Sea Crest Beach Resort, offering both formal and casual dining spaces with expansive oceanfront views. The space was inspired by a stormy, nautical aesthetic and features a color palette of dark blues and purples reminiscent of marine vegetation, shells, and sea urchins, countered by pops of bright red throughout. Evoking the underlying narrative of a sailor returning home from sea, antique coastal art was salvaged and reframed and existing paneling around the perimeter of the room was reused. The Lantern Room’s name, hand-drawn logo, and menus, coasters, and signage were all conceived and implemented by the interdisciplinary team.
