Welcome Joe, Hacin’s Newest Co-Op!
We are excited to welcome Joseph Quan to the studio as Hacin’s spring co-op for 2024! Our team is looking forward to having him assist on projects around the office for the spring semester; if you see him around, be sure to say hello!
Originally from New York, Joe is a 3rd-year candidate for a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with a minor in Urban Landscape Studies at Northeastern University. His previous design experience includes working on group homes at Fusion Architects in Long Island, NY and on 3D-printing furniture and buildings at KUSHNERStudios in Manhattan. He is interested in sustainability and equity in marginalized communities and is an active member of BosNOMA and an officer in Northeastern’s chapter of NOMAS. Outside of work and school, he enjoys cycling through the Harvard Arboretum and thrifting in Cambridge. He also enjoys film photography (specifically, botanicals), and hosting dinner parties with friends.
When asked about his thoughts on the profession and his studies thus far, he says, “It is imperative that the architects & designers of today and tomorrow use their power to design for inclusion. Design & architecture reach everyone; all walks of life, backgrounds, and types of people… Why not create spaces that can be appreciated by anyone?”
