Zaslow Studio
Zaslow Studio was designed for noted Boston food photographer, Francine Zaslow. After brainstorming with Francine and longtime friend (and Hacin client) Alina Roytberg, the design team set out to create a comfortable place for clients to spread out with laptops, work on layouts, and collaborate, resulting in a plan and design concept for optimal function and smooth transitions between work areas. The studio’s domestic touches soften the overall industrial aesthetic and offer a level of comfort to ease long photoshoots. Glass partition walls allow natural light to make studio action visible while still providing privacy. The kitchen is directly connected to the shoot space, facilitating circulation from the private meeting room into the food-preparation area without interruption. Post-production has its own workspace with storage built into cabinetry and additional space for backdrops and props.
“I am profoundly grateful for the chance to have worked with this visionary team. The space itself is a work of art that, in turn, inspires other works of art.”
